Anthony Cole Associates are proud to be partnering a world renowned Sports & Leisure business based in London. They are currently seeking a commercially focused qualified Management Accountant and business partner to join their highly effective finance team to add value to the business results.

The Management Accountant and business partner is responsible for providing financial insight and reporting to the UK business and to the Group. You will be responsible for undertaking a broad range of financial and management accounting functions, timely and accurate accounting and processing support and contributing to department goals. The position requires someone with the right attitude, who is flexible, and will go that extra mile to make sure the Finance Department meets UK and Group deadlines. This diverse and broad Management Accountant and Business Partner role will involve:-

Business Partnering      

•             Engage and provide insight to key department stakeholders to continually improve performance to assist in achieving the company’s mission and business strategy.

•             Engage and provide insight to key department stakeholders to continually improve business processes and reporting with the aim to improve business operations

•             Preparation and continued development of monthly departmental information pack

•             Monthly financial meetings with key department stakeholders to give insight to assist management to make strategic financial decisions

•             Preparation and continued development of weekly revenue reports

•             Lead weekly financial meetings with key department stakeholders to give insight to assist management to forecast accurately  

•             Ad hoc financial modelling as per business needs

Month-end reporting

                •             Preparation of UK management accounts as per Group timetable. Including but not exclusive to:

o             Review of accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank ledgers

o             Finalise Revenue and Costs

o             Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations

o             Preparation and analytical review of UK P&L and Balance Sheet at month end including detailed commentary

o             Improve month end process to allow UK to reduce timetable from 5 working days to 4 working days (long term aim 3 working days)

General accounting       

•             Review finance department processes and reporting with the aim to improve performance

•             Ad hoc financial modelling as per business needs

•             Review of monthly expenditure

•             Working to monthly Finance Team timetable including Group deadlines

•             Maintain the Fixed Asset Register including depreciation calculation

•             Oversee VAT Return.

•             Assisting with Audit, Statutory Accounts, Budget and Reforecast

•             Ad hoc tasks
