My client are one of the world's leading research based pharma companies, with operations in over 100 countries and 96,500 employees worldwide.
Part of the External Reporting team, this role will be responsible for reviewing and providing advice on the technical accounting aspects of potential Group transactions (acquisitions, disposals, collaborations, etc) to various teams in the business and senior management in Corporate Finance. The role will also be significantly involved in all other aspects of External Responsibilities, including preparation, co-ordination and publication of quarterly results announcements and the Annual Report.
Responsibilities:
- Review and provide advice on the technical accounting aspects of potential Group transactions (acquisitions, disposals, collaborations, etc).
- Research developments in accounting and prepare summaries of new and revised Exposure Drafts and Accounting Standards.
- Lead or assist with projects to implement new Accounting Standards across the Group.
- Assist with the preparation, co-ordination and publication of quarterly results announcements and the Annual Report, including US reports on Forms 6-K and 20-F.
- Assist with preparation and/or review of Companies House filing of Annual Report and Japanese filing.
- Co-ordinate the quarterly significant contracts review process.
- Assist with all aspects of the typesetting process for the Annual Report.
