Finance Director

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently recruiting a Finance Director to work for a market leading E-Commerce firm based in Swindon.

The position is a varied role giving the successful candidate ownership of cash and risk management, financial control, team management, management reporting and budgeting.As well as the UK financials, the Head of Finance role will have ownership of consolidating the financials for France and then subsequent reporting to both the US parent company and Private Equity investors.

The position has a commercial slant and you will be required to lead negotiation with key partners to maximise profitability for the business. This will include identifying cost saving initiatives to implement across the business and ensuring these are driven through to completion.In addition, you will be act alongside the Managing Director, acting as a strategic visionary and providing a pivotal role in the future success and growth of the business.

The successful candidate should ideally be a fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with experience working in a similar position. Experience of job costing and managing consumer product stock would also be advantageous. In addition to this, the successful individual should be well versed in VAT and Intrastat reporting for all EU countries.

In this role, the successful incumbent will also have line management responsibility for a member of staff in France, so the ability to speak French is also a desirable but by no means essential.
