Role purpose:
The VGx organisation delivers finance operations to any entity within the group not managed by a geographic local market team including:
- Group Enterprise, Group Technology, Group Commercial, Common Functions, Vodafone Procurement Company and Vodafone Roaming Services
- Nine HFM entities
- 191 operating entities across 35 countries
This role is responsible for the analysis and activities that ensure the efficient and effective operation of core processes including:
- Purchase to payment
- Fixed assets
- Order to cash
- Intercompany
- Treasury and cash management
- Record to report
- Time and expense recording
- Other core finance processes as required
Responsibilities include ensuring that:
- Processes are documented including key controls, risks and improvements
- Process performance and controls adherence is measured analysed and reported
- Identified process improvements are implemented
- Users of core processes have the education and documentation required to follow the process
- Escalations and deviations to process are captured and managed on a timely basis
As Process & Control Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
- Working across finance processes for:
- Receiving escalation requests from the business and shared services, ensuring they are routed correctly and resolved
- Assisting stakeholders navigate and use the process effectively by providing ad hoc assistance and by identifying more routine training and education needs
- Drive adherence to the core business model by:
- Ensuring transactions follow the CBM process where possible
- Identifying exceptions and process deviations
- Understanding business needs and the need to influence or change the CBM to suit the needs of the business
- Facilitate the sign off of process changes on behalf of VGx
- Ensure key risks are identified and necessary controls are Implemented by:
- Monitoring key control effectiveness
- Reporting on the effectiveness of key controls
- Maintaining action plans to resolve key control issues
- Measure and manage the performance of finance processes for VGx entities including:
- Determining the CTQs (critical to quality) requirements of business stakeholders
- Measuring the performance of processes to quality, efficiency, timeliness and accuracy criteria
- Driving action from Finance League Table KPIs to ensure VGx meets all key operational targets
- Deliver continuous improvement across the process by:
- Routinely reviewing the effectiveness of processes
- Operating governance activities and processes to capture, qualify, prioritise and implement improvements
- Implementing process improvements
As Process & Control Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- University graduate, preferably from Business Administration, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Mathematics etc.
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Leadership with an ability to manage a team
- Strong cooperation, communication and presentation skills
- Analytical-minded, hardworking, innovative, adaptable, team player and leader.
- Very good knowledge and experience of MS Office Applications, particularly on Excel, Word & Power Point
- Expertise in Accounting, Tax and/or IFRS or process analysis
