My client, a vibrant and growing £150m turnover Property and Development Group based in Bedford, has an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Corporate Finance Team on a permanent basis.

The Corporate Financial Analyst will support the development and execution of the Group's strategy from short term cash flow and budgeting to long term business planning reviews. You will report into the Corporate Finance Manager, who themselves have come from a large international blue- chip company and will give you the guidance needed to succeed and grow in this role, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in a range of analytical projects over the coming years. This role will be covering three main areas; business planning, investment appraisals and assisting with some treasury activities.

Main responsibilities will include;

* Provide a comprehensive financial planning and analyse service, assessing long term business viability and shorter term development projects
* Assist in implementing and developing a cohesive financial strategy that delivers the Groups vision and strategic objectives
* Develop the 15 year business plan, which includes analysis of each company cash flow, balance sheet and I&E account for each entity in the Group.
*Update the financial model on a quarterly basis for known changes to the revenue budget and capital programme update.
*Provide analyst on the impact of the business plan budget on the long-term plans for the business
*Help present the Group's strategy in a non- finance manner.
*Work closely with the commercial development team with assisting in negotiating new business opportunities
*Prepare financial models that are used to assess new business opportunities

You will be a qualified accountant or corporate treasurer, have relevant finance experience and confident in business partnering with senior finance and non-finance members, with the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various investment appraisal techniques and experience of business planning and modelling. Please note that one of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is that the work-life balance is very strong and you will not be required to work more than the standard amount of hours on regular basis. A big plus.
