An entrepreneurial candidate is required to join a universally successful high-end fashion retailer as Director of Finance. Responsible for well known retail brands and concessions through multiple wholesale doors worldwide, the ever-changing nature of this business requires someone to spearhead company-wide change both within the finance function and on a wider commercial platform.
The ideal candidate will be on an upward career trajectory and maintains the drive to further develop their role as a commercial business partner, responsible for aggressively growing the business as a premium European brand.
In the fast-paced retail business environment, you will be;
- Reporting to the MD UK with a dotted line to the Group CFO in the US
- Business partnering with the CEO of a highly regarded and well respected retailer
- Building strong relationships with peers and the broader team across all functions
- Driving a broader commercial agenda for change and ownership of the aggressive growth strategy
- Developing the Finance function including FP&A, budgeting, reporting, accounting and tax
- Implementation and management of financial systems, processes and controls and cash forecasting
- Providing strong leadership of a small finance team and daily finance operations from the ground, getting hands dirty with all tasks
- Monitoring contractual and operational performance
- IT and logistics operational support
Your resume must have the following;
A qualified accountant on an upward career trajectory
Experienced in fashion retail (and/or wholesale)
Ability to work in a stand alone environment and prepared to manage the detail
Highly adept at developing reporting, accounting, tax and FP&A systems
Have aggressively grown a business successfully either as no.1 in a smaller business or no.2 in a larger organisation
Good technical, analytical and leadership skills
