A market leading media business are currently recruiting for a part qualified Assistant Accountant to join their Head Office on a permanent basis.
The key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining the manual accounting records and monthly management reporting of the main financing company and two bond companies.
* This company holds a variety of financial instruments including foreign currency loans, bonds, interest rate and foreign currency swaps, numerous foreign currency bank accounts and interest accruals.
* Liaising with tax, legal and treasury departments for routine monthly transactions.
* Producing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
* Assisting in the preparation and review of statutory accounts and tax computations for UK holding companies.
* Assisting with monthly inter-company reporting by resolving inter-company mismatches between UK and International Holding Companies.
* Liaising with external auditors to facilitate annual statutory audit.
* Supporting the Group Finance team as necessary.
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Must be AAT qualified.
* Part-qualified ACCA.
* Treasury background.
* Financial background is essential, ideally with working knowledge of treasury instruments and foreign currency transactions.
* Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping with proven application in work environment.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of an established, focused head office team.
* A quick learner who demonstrates initiative.
* A high attention to detail is essential.
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Able to meet deadlines under pressure and work flexible hours to achieve this.
* Adaptable, able to work in a team and respond as required.
