Assistant Management Accountant

Are you a driven and ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant who is looking for a progressive role working for an expanding SME? Working for a line manager who has recently completed his CIMA qualification, his now keen to bring somebody in to his team that wants to follow a similar path. With close links to the M1, our client's office is commutable from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
- Preparation of accruals, prepayments and journals
- Weekly reporting, providing insight and analysis to departmental managers
- Work closely with operations to understand their reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, with analysis in to variances
- Oversee ledgers and closure at month-end

YOUR EXPERIENCE

- Studying towards CIMA/ACCA
- Strong Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulae)
- Desire to progress internally in line with qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence to challenge and influence where necessary
