Accounts Payable Superviser/Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Accounts Payable Superviser/Manager to join a well-established public sector organisation based in Liverpool on a temporary basis for initially three months.

Working as part of a large finance team, responsibilities of the role include:

• Ensuring invoices are processed and paid correctly in accordance to financial procedures
• Deputising for the Financial Accountant when required and providing support when necessary
• Managing direct reports
• Acting as Administrator for any credit cards issued to staff
• Undertaking any ad hoc duties requested by the Financial Accountant
• Respond to and resolve internal and external queries
• Check batches have been inputted correctly
• Prepare weekly payment runs
• Ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Assisting in the inputting of invoices

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a similar role and will have strong IT skills. Experience within the public sector is advantageous however this is not essential. The ideal person will have strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and will be able to work to deadlines.
