Construction Admin - £18000 - £20000 - CIS/Finance

Your new role
Telephones: You will be required to act as the first response to answering the telephone. You will be backed up by other attendees within the office. All calls are to be dealt with as a priority and in a polite well-spoken and positive manner. Please note that this is very important as the phone is our first line of communication with our client base and supply chain and as such this represents the Company and its image.
Administration:
You will be responsible for:
- Sending out supply chain enquires and analysing the tender returns to determine our best price options for given groups of material and plant
- Deal with material requisitions from site and procure materials/plant
- Place purchase orders to the supply chain
- Ensure that office supplies are kept fully stocked ie. paper & ink etc
- Help to prepare company documents ready for issue, such as tenders and brochures
- Assist in preparing Operating and Maintenance manuals
- Ad-hoc duties include photocopying, laminating, scanning, welcoming visitors, travel arrangements etc
Accounts:
You will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Department with the following roles:
- Raise sales invoices
- Entering purchase and sales invoices onto the system (Sage Line 50) and file accordingly
- Prepare payment runs
- Issue remittance advices
- Raise Sub-Contractor payment certificates
- Chase payment of sales invoices to ensure prompt payment
- Ensure that the accounts system is updated with current supply chain and client information
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience using Sage 50
- Familiarities with CIS returns
- Good sense of humour
- Experience within a construction environment advantageous
