Internal Audit Manager

Badenoch & Clark are currently recruiting an Internal Audit Manager for a large and respected organisation based in Worthing on a permanent basis. The role has responsibility for ensuring that there is excellent assurance and oversight over the information that is reported within the business.

It is essential that the successful candidate has exceptional communication skills as you will spend a large part of your time talking to the business and advising senior stakeholders on controls and processes and how to improve these.

Key responsibilities will include:
*Responsible for ensuring that there is an excellent operational control framework over Business Plan metrics and other external regulatory data (the 'first line of defence').
*Establishing and maintaining effective controls and oversight over the operational assurance framework (the 'second line of defence') including the current Regulatory Control Framework
* Direct input into the Company's key regulatory assurance process as part of the Annual Performance Report.
*Completing necessary checks, reviews, controls, risk assessments and analyses to pressure test and report on the operational control framework. Will be accountable for ensuring agreed changes are completed, escalating appropriately issues to the Head of Business Plan Performance
*Assessing procedures and controls, taking a strategic Company-wide view, then down to the detail, then summarising and reporting required actions, including appropriate assessments of risks

Background / Experience:
*ACA / ACCA / CMIIA or equivalent
*Have previously worked within a 2nd / 3rd line of defence role
*Strong experience of information assurance / compliance and control risk assessment within a commercial environment.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management
*Excellent project management skills
