Countrywide Farmers - Commercial Retail Analyst
Robert Half is exclusively partnering with this established retail company headquartered in Worcester that now wishes to recruit a Retail Analyst as they continue to grow the retail side of their business.
The Retail Analyst will report to the Head of Retail Finance and will be working closely with senior stakeholders and the CFO.
The Role
Responsibilities will include -
- Own the weekly Trading Report, producing accurate and timely reporting on Monday morning for the business.
- Development of the weekly Trading Report information and insights, exploiting the capabilities of the new Microsoft Dynamics AX and Target tools.
- Partnering with Merchandise Manager to own stock control and reporting.
- Partner the category Buying teams to assess the viability of product Promotional activity before the event, and to report actual Promotional ROI after the event.
- Partner the Marketing teams to assess the viability of Marketing campaigns before the event, and to report actual Marketing ROI after the event.
- Provide Category Sales & Gross Margin performance insight as part of the month end reporting process, including owning League Tables.
- Provide ad-hoc support on Category Sales & Gross Margin to the Buying teams
- Provide financial support to deliver product category profitability evaluations.
- Support with Head of Retail Finance and Buying teams with Sales & Gross Margin re-forecasting and budgeting cycles.
Your Profile
You must be either actively studying or qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA- preferably with a retail background.
- You will have a broad background in management accounting combined with the proven commercial acumen to deliver considered, informative financial plans, models and analysis.
- You will be engaging and credible, able to build rapport and credibility with the Senior Management Team and the wider business.
- You will be comfortable assessing and manipulating large volumes of data, using your strong systems skills to take advantage of the opportunities presented by a new Microsoft AX ERP system.
