Development Accountant, London

My client is a large Property Development business who have grown to become a leading organisation in the sector. They recently took on a large joint venture led development project which will see the creation of over 5,000 homes in London, this project will see the business grow and create a new position in the finance team.

The Development Accountant will be part of a team helping to deliver one of the organisations most ambitious joint venture projects and will involve the following;

• Produce monthly management accounts and board papers for the organisations largest joint venture project
• Regular meetings feeding back information and data to executives and managers
• High levels of budget/forecast preparation work, including liaising with other managers
• Assistance with calculating VAT profile for each development and development phase
• Review of monthly development VAT return calculations to ensure that the correct amount of VAT is being claimed
• Development company balance sheet analysis and notification of balances that are erroneous

This is a role where the person who joins will be able to grow and take on more duties provided that they are competent with the basics and can show clear initiative. You will also need to be a qualified accountant with experience property or housing sectors.
