Position: Group Reporting Accountant
Location: London City
Salary: £65000 - £80000 per annum + benefits
Job Type: Full time
The company client is a reputable organisation who are currently seeking to appoint a talented and tenacious Group Reporting Accountant, which will report into the Group Financial Controller. The successful applicant will join the London office team and will be accountable for managing the statutory reports and accounts process (c.60 in total) and will assist the Group FC in all associated financial and regulatory reporting deliverables. The wider team also covers Solvency II, consolidations, treasury and syndicate reporting so this person will get exposure to wider reporting requirements.
Main duties for this position will include:
* This role will be engaging right up to CFO level, ensuring delivery of timely and accurate reports across the Group.
* Managing the production of the year-end statutory accounts for all syndicate, group companies and corporate members
* Maintaining the relationship with the auditors and financial reporting and control team
* Head office reporting
* Ensuring SOx compliance
* Developing analysis to drive improved and developed understanding of Group results
* Developing processes and championing continual improvement within the overall finance team
Essential background and competencies required:
* The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with c.4-5 years' post-qualification experience.
* The candidates could apply straight from practice or this could be their second move in the insurance industry from a reporting-focused role.
