An Interim Financial Analyst is required to join a growing UK Finance Function for a well known telecommunications business in Central London.

The experienced Financial Analyst will be part of the Commercial Finance team and report to a divisonal Financial controller and will assist the commercial buying team to ensure the balance between the commercial needs and financial controls are working effectively. The role will support in the standardization and integration across the group in relation to buying.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver commercial insight through an in-depth understanding of manufacturer revenues to mitigate risks and maximise profitability.
  • Support the trading team in tracking and reporting verses required revenue targets.
  • Provide period reporting and analysis for presentation to Commercial teams
  • Make recommendations and constantly evolve and develop the commercial reporting.
  • Work with I.S. and Development Teams to improve processes which impact finance e.g. Improving with IS the systems infrastructure and reporting
  • Support Category teams to deliver maximum profitability and cash flow through supplier terms
  • Understand the competitive environment (including competitors and market dynamics) to inform and influence decisions
  • Review and refine planning process to make forecasting and budgeting process efficient, clear and timely
  • Liaise with other functional finance and operational teams to ensure all cross charges are understood and legitimate
  • Be responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts relating to supplier revenues.
  • Drive the understanding of performance metrics supporting and mentoring finance and non-finance colleagues to deliver enhanced performance across the business

Skills:

  • A strong academic background (Graduate Degree 2:1 and above)
  • An Accounting Qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)- newly or recently Qualified.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced level of analytical ability and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent track record at working with a wide array of individuals within the business.
