Interim Head of Contracts & Cost Compliance

A listed civil engineering business, based in London, are looking for an Interim Head of Contracts & Cost Compliance to join the business, heading up a team & looking to retrieve up to £30 million in costs, £500-£750 per day (dependant on experience).

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Directing a team of 3
• Working closely with high profile clients to establish cost liability
• Working closely with the clients to establish contract & liability interpretation
• Working across the business on a number of established contracts
• Providing cost verification/cost liability to clients
• Implemented processes and controls to improve contract interpretation business wide

The successful candidate must:

• Be a qualified accountant
• Have significant experience in working on/interpreting contracts
• Have a proven track record of external cost savings
• Have extensive senior stakeholder business partnering experience
• Have experience in operating in a client facing role
• Have substantial cost verification & cost compliance experience

Ideally:

• Similar sector experience i.e. manufacturing, rail, construction, engineering
• Team management experience
• Forensic accounting/auditing experience
