My client is a leading, commercially focused £350m turnover Housing Association based in central London. Due to growth and some internal changes they are looking to recruit a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join there friendly, but results focused team, consisting of those who have come from a blue chip background, straight from practice and those who have worked in the Not for Profit sector previously.

Additionally, while this social housing organisation is charitable by nature, they are very commercially run and operate in both the private and public sector and would give you future career options of whether to stay in the not for profit or move into the commercial sector.

As the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will lead, coach and train a small team. Reporting into a highly capable Director of Corporate Reporting who will give you the full support and training needed to become a fully-fledged Financial Reporting Manager in a large and complex finance department. You will be given the full autonomy to truly make this role your own and imbed the policies and processes, ensuring good practice. You will take accountability for submission of the consolidated financial results and reporting to senior management; lead on providing financial advice and support to all operations involved in commercial decision making and the growth of the business; lead the external audit, including preparation of the audit pack and liaising with the auditors throughout the process and you will take the lead on various projects across the Group.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with strong business leadership and commercial awareness skills; have the ability to communicate effectively and influence the decision making process; a proven track record of leading a team in a changing environment; be able to define and project manage system and process changes; have strong financial reporting skills and experience of FRS102 will be beneficial.
