Our Client is a fast growth services and consultancy based organisation which has recently become part of a significant global successful Group.
Due to both growth and development the business has created another opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to join a high performing team of Commercial Accountants to add value, enhance performance to Group operations and work closely with key business stakeholders.
This is a proactive and high profile role within the Group with a high degree of visibility across the business.
Business Partnering
1 Support a division of the business, providing proactive financial guidance and appropriate analysis
2 Interpret and explain current performance against targets during monthly reviews with each area
3 Provide challenge to the business and influence decisions made by ensuring commercial implications are understood and taken into account
4 Help non-finance team members to understand the financials and how they can achieve the desired financial performance
Budgeting/Forecasting
1 Preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts including supporting commentary and variance analysis
2 Co-ordinate gathering the relevant information from the business for both revenue and costs in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines
3 Investigation, challenge and analysis of financials and corresponding variances
4 Support preparation of a medium term plan (3-5 years)
Financial Reporting & Analysis
1 Work closely with the Financial Accounting team to ensure the month end actuals are accurate and completed on time
2 Provide detailed variance analysis to explain movements from budget/forecast
3 Preparation of a monthly reporting pack to inform the business of the actual financial performance and revised forecast against internal targets
Other/Ad Hoc
1 Assist in the production of financial models for scenario planning and ad hoc business cases
2 Support projects by tracking progress against targets and profitability
3 Support the pricing team by providing feedback when actual performance differs from plan, ensuring assumptions used reflect current performance
4 Make process improvements and find efficiencies within Finance as well as tracking profit maximising initiatives across the business
5 Assist with accuracy of cashflow forecast by ensuring relevant information is passed to the Financial Accounting team
