Based in Central London, our client is a Financial Services business that prides itself on their relationship with customers and providing an outstanding service. This ethos transfers to all of its staff, providing an environment where everyone works together and communication is outstanding internally as well as externally.
This role, Senior Manager - Client Money, is a key position within the business and will report to the Head of Treasury. It takes responsibility for ensuring that the business is fully compliant with FCA CASS regulations. The Client Money Manager leads a team that provide regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the Client Money Team providing the team with training and leadership
- Oversee the daily Client money calculations and CMAR returns
- Develop processes within the team
- Proactive identification and management of any regulatory risks
- If any regulatory breaches were to occur ensure the root cause is identified, the breach is correctly documented and measures are put in place to prevent a repeat breach
- Develop daily Client money MI
- Represent all Client money regulation in business projects driving completion
- Work with Compliance to develop and maintain on a regular basis all relevant procedures and policies
- Provide any ad hoc reports and analysis required by Senior Management
- Keep up to date with any relevant regulatory developments
- Be the Client money subject matter expert providing support where required
- Assist in audit work as and when is required
This role requires a strong leader who has excellent experience and knowledge of FCA CASS regulation and is able to effectively streamline complex processes and implement a robust control environment.
