Assistant Financial Accountant - FS

Assistant Financial Accountant for a busy Financial Accounting team at a Financial Services company based in the City. You will be working with qualified accountants and learning and developing your skills within a supportive environment.

You will be an integral member of the Finance team to assist in the financial management and control of the finance function. You will need to have a degree and be Part Qualified in ACCA/CIMA. You must also have a background of working in Financial Services which can include Banking, Broking, Asset Management and Insurance. Other sector experience will not be considered.

Main responsibilities

• • Involvement in the monthly financial close process including:
    • Accruals and account analysis
    • Cash postings
    • Revenue accounting
    • Account reconciliations
    • Prepayments
    • Ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • The keeping of all financial records, accounts and schedules to the requirements of the auditors and general accepted accounting standards and practices;
  • Preparation of accurate management information;
  • Assist in preparation of intercompany settlements and related payment journals in both cash management and the general ledger:
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts;
  • Ad hoc duties from time to time

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background with a degree and be studying ACCA/CIMA. You will be looking to progress in a fantastic organisation.
