Financial Analyst

MERJE are proud to be supporting a leading International, Privately owned FMCG company in the search for a Financial Analyst.

Working within the corporate head office you will be supporting the group CFO and commercial teams with high quality analysis to support the business planning process.

Key responsibilities will include

• Responsibility for Strategic plan model
• Monitor existing strategic drivers (across Budget+3 years, rolling) – compared to original plans and financial implications on the Budget / Forecasts
• Provide analysis of the expected and Actual results
• Cross-reference analysis supporting Strategic Drivers to core analysis used in the business and ad hoc analysis month end, budget and forecast processes.
• Own and deliver budget/ forecast process
• Support the Central Commercial Finance and Planning Manager in ensuring the financial planning system is adequately prepared and controlled to support the team through each planning cycle
• Own, drive, develop and deliver month-end process including monthly management pack reporting and business partnering
• Deliver the forecast review
• Supporting the Central Commercial Finance and Planning Manager for ad hoc requests from the FD, CEO and Head of Commercial Finance as and when required,
• Provide general analysis across the Group as required

Being a qualified accountant you will have demonstrable experience operating in a similar role. With an analytical mind-set you will have advanced excel and modelling knowledge along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Whilst food manufacturing experience would be preferred candidates with exposure to the broader FMCG sector will be considered.
