Global Finance Business Partner - Commercial

Are you a strong Commercial Senior Finance Manager looking to work in an autonomous divisional role for a major retail business?
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)

It's essential you bring a progressive blue-chip CV with experience commercially adding value in a senior FP&A role.


Gravitas and strong communication skills are a must in this pivotal role, as the key business partner with the International Merchandise Planning, Logistics, and Business Development teams. Challenging key senior stakeholders to improve future performance, by producing supporting KPI's and performance analysis to drive a better understanding of results achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance business partner challenge stakeholders to improve future performance.

  • Strengthen and lead Finance relationships with Joint Venture (JV) partners, challenging financial decisions.

  • Leading a team of 4. Coaching and development of wider team.

  • Improve working capital management and reporting - to include debt, stock, intake & cash. Work with Joint Venture partners and Credit Manager to improve visibility of future payments and to enable smooth debt collection processes.

  • Produce/review and develop month end and weekly performance reporting, with particular focus on shipments, intake, stock, margin, and JVs, ensuring figures are accurate. Provide commercial insight to explain variances to expectations. Includes review of balance sheet reconciliations.
