Finance Business Partner

Position: Finance Business Partner 
Location: Croydon, London 
Contract type: Permanent. Flexible working, full-time, part-time available (working a minimum of 30 hours per week over 5 days) 
Salary: £45,177 - £48,709 
Benefits: 28.5 days annual leave, plus eight days public holidays and up to 24 days flexi leave a year additionally (pro rata for part time staff). Flexible start and finish times and the civil service pension arrangements, maternity, paternity and childcare benefits are extremely competitive

About the role: 

The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality service from finance in support of transformational change, the achievement of strategic objectives and optimised business performance. You will be working with the Corporate Services Directorates in this role and will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information to support decision making, in addition to developing the financial capability of staff in Land Registry. 

Through the efficient use of processes, technology and people, you will ensure that the information and reports produced are of sufficient quality to support effective decision making, help manage financial performance and support the system of internal control within Land Registry. The bulk of Finance staff work in the Croydon office and there will be travel required to other offices at times. 

About you: 

You must be a fully qualified accountant (a member of a CCAB organisation, CIMA or overseas equivalent), with relevant experience. You will have experience of identifying financial weaknesses, issues and risks within a business and the ability to engage with the business to resolve these. Experience producing monthly management information which adds value, provides insight for the business and enables understanding and decision-making is also critical to success in this role. 

Your ability to simplify and present complex information, coupled with your excellent communication skills will be vital in building effective relationships with senior management and non-financial staff, promoting good financial management practice and where appropriate challenging assumptions and making recommendations for change.
