Our client is a privately owned international business, in the middle of a growth period. They are an FMCG business who have a number of recognised brands. Due to the period of growth they are looking for a Supply chain Analyst to manage the finance and relationship with the supply chain function. The role is varied and will involve verifying & challenging the cost base and its relative movement in the context of monthly reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and cost saving project analysis.
Main duties include:
- Conduct weekly/monthly reporting & explanation of variances, actual vs. standard, for expected Materials, Labour and Overheads, utilising SAP and Excel.
- Reconciling the Stock Account monthly across all of the entities
- Attend the various Supply Chain Organisation meetings on a weekly/periodic basis
- Organise and manage Annual Budget process, building Recovery rates to feed into the standard cost of goods, understanding & challenging inflation assumptions and price increases, developing and understanding the financial impact.
- Commercial and Finance support: Working with Supply Chain team to identify, challenge, verify and prioritise key cost savings possibilities and initiatives, and evaluate opportunities/ trade-offs of other ad-hoc projects.
- Constantly reviewing, developing and improving supporting processes and systems.
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or overseas equivalent)
Experience in FMCG or cost / production accounting is highly desirable
Advanced Excel skills
SAP experience highly desirable
Strong planning and organisation skills and ability to work under pressure
