Legal Cashier

I am excited to be recruiting for a well established and highly respected firm of solicitors based in Hamilton Square on the Wirral. My respected client are looking to add an experienced Legal Cashier to their team on a Permanent basis. Covering all aspects of Legal Cashiers work in line with agreed policies and procedures. Maintaining controls and responding promptly to requests for advice and information, whilst ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).

The Legal Cashier will be responsible for:

• Preparing and processing payments (including regular accounts payable and expenses payment runs) on a daily basis from both office and client bank accounts
• Co-ordinating and communicating the receipt of office and client monies to fee earners on a daily basis
• Preparing client fund transfers
• Maintaining the client and office ledgers, posting receipts and payments and ensuring full compliance with internal controls and other regulations
• Prepare daily, monthly and International bank account reconciliation's

Key skills and experience:

• Previous experience within a Legal Cashier position
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High level of organisation and planning skills
• High levels of numeric accuracy
• Excellent IT Skills
• Knowledge of SAR
