Interim Assistant Accountant

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Macildowie working with a client in Nottingham to recruit an Part Qualified Qualified Accountant into their team on an initial temporary contract. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will support the Finance Manager with management accounts preparation support and a balance sheet reconciliations project.

This is a Financial Services SME that are growing and part of a wider group with their head office is based in New York! Also operate in the retail industry with a product that we all know and love!

THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This temporary Assistant Accountant comes with a salary around £25,000-£30,000 = £12/15 per hour.

- Assistance with Monthly Management Accounts
- Reconciliations (bank/balance sheet/supplier statement)
- Budgetting and forecasting
- Cash management and handling
- Accruals, prepayments and journals everyday
- Liaise with non-finance personnel + finance manager / commercial accountant
- Ledger maintenance


EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

- Must be a Part-Qualified Accountant with 2-5 years experience
- Must be a current studier!
- Excellent Communicator and Strong analytical skills
- Experience with working in a small team and reporting into a group (ideal)
- Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Ability to identify causes for variances
- Knowledge of Journals, Prepayments, Reconcilations, Cash Handling, budgetting
