Axon Moore are working in retained partnership with our clients, a PE-backed organisation with ambitious growth plans, to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager.

This is a newly-created role in the business with a remit to improve the value-add offered by finance to the business - this will become a true business partnering position. You will look to get under the skin of operational and commercial numbers and work to drive optimal levels of performance.

Key to your success will be your drive to get out into the business and quickly understand it’s operations and cost drivers and identify risks / opportunities. You’ll be someone who enjoys talking to people at different levels of the business and building relationships.

Key responsibilities:
  • Developing (in conjunction with a Business Analyst) improved reporting and analysis to monitor business performance
  • Identifying trends / risks / opportunities and taking the story of what is happening in the business to key senior management
  • Meeting regularly with Regional Managers / Directors to evaluate and influence performance
  • Involvement in commercial bids / tenders, modelling scenarios and influencing decision making
  • Working with the Financial Controller to improve controls, processes and systems across the Finance function
Interested applicants:
  • Must be fully CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Must be highly numerate with strong Excel skills
  • Must have strong prior experience in a partnering role which has involved the development of improved “fit-for-purpose” reporting and analysis
  • Must have strong prior exposure to working closely with operations / commercial staff and driving performance
  • Will preferably have worked in a complex multi-site business
This is a fabulous opportunity for a career-driven, pro-active and ambitious individual to really make a mark. In time, it’s expected that you’ll build a team around you to cope with the demands of the business as they get on the acquisition trail and press on with their growth plans. Furthermore it is expected that their planned growth will open up broader career development opportunities.

The role will pay a basic salary of £50-60,000 with car allowance and bonus of upto 15%.
