Following an extremely successful period, a pioneering biotech business in Southend are looking to recruit a dynamic Finance Director.
As FD for the company, you will be expected to quickly gain an insightful view into the business, it’s culture and people. Building exceptional relationships at all levels across the organisation and with external stakeholders is key. In addition, you will need to build a deep, working knowledge of the company’s customers and partnerships in order to advise the Chairman and Managing Director on key financial business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Effective management of all accounting systems
- Production of timely, insightful monthly management accounts and annual statements
- Developing budgets and forecasts
- Management of treasury and taxation
- You will also be responsible for IT, company secretarial duties, insurance and HR
In order to be successful, you will need to have at least 5 years’ experience in a senior management position, be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and mentor a team. You will also need to be fully capable of leading in the MD’s absence, and have a strong track record in delivering process and systems improvements.
Candidates will be expected to show gravitas in the boardroom, display a genuine can-do attitude, and possess exceptional communication skills.
