regular management reporting for Client owned SPVs and own and the daily accounting functions which support this. The role will include developing and enhancing the reporting and implementing appropriate policies and procedures to support it. The group is in the process of implementing the Qube Property Management and Accounting software.
Responsibilities will include:
- Initially supervising the work of one experienced Trainee Accountant and developing and growing the team as Triangle continues to expand. Taking responsibility for managing and providing guidance on specific tasks/projects assigned to other team members from time to time.
- Managing the process of preparing the books of account on Qube for commercial property SPVs, residential property SPVs and Client Accounts.
- Getting involved (hands-on) with the bookkeeping, where necessary, to ensure that everything is up to date
- "Problem solving" with the bookkeeping, as required, dealing with issues as they arise. These will include considering, and agreeing with the Financial Controller, the optimal way to set up new companies/projects on Qube, working out how to handle particular transactions on Qube and guiding the team, helping the team with accruals and prepayments, depreciation, tax provisions and other non-standard entries and investigating and resolving points arising from prior periods
- Managing the preparation and submission of VAT Returns
- Managing the preparation of year end statutory accounts and liaising with reporting accountants and auditors as required
- Providing information for the preparation of Income Tax and Corporate Tax Returns and enquiries thereon
- Preparation of regular management accounts, budgets and other management reporting
- Compliance with all financial banking covenants
- Working with the Financial Controller to put in place a comprehensive set of financial policies and procedures and a system of internal control and to implement and develop additional IT systems as and when required
- Budgeting and financial modelling for the Group and SPVs
- Any other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller, Finance Director or CFO
Successful candidates will possess:
- Qualification i.e. ACCA, ACA etc.
- Experienced Accountant 2 - 5 years pqe ideally in a similar sized company
- Previous experience of accounts preparation work
- Previous experience of managing staff
- Take responsibility for significant areas of work
- A proven self-starter with the ability to take instructions and act swiftly upon them
- To work on own initiative to see work through to completion with only "light" supervision
