  • My client a large global company are looking for UK Finance Director. This is a broad role covering the leadership of the financial operations, statutory and management reporting and business partnering the Managing Director with commercial decision making.

Description

Develop the finance team into a 'best in class' function

  • Ensure solid processes are in place to control accuracy of accounting, while remaining flexible and responsive to business changes

  • Take a lead role in M&A activity that takes place across the business

  • Drive the budget and forecasting processes across the business

  • Support the business by implementing strategies and plans to achieve set targets enabling a pathway for success

  • Ensure the Mission, Vision and Values and 7 Golden Rules of the company are embedded into the UK finance strategy, and ensure the behaviours that underpin our values are demonstrated at all times

  • Work as an ambassador for the UK business with other International locations

  • Work in partnership and collaboratively with all Head Office functions to support and enhance the knowledge within the team. Adhere to and enforce Group policies and procedures that are in place.

  • Develop and maintain loyalty, commitment and respect from employees through inspirational and directive leadership

  • Oversee the creation of control systems to ensure that implemented improvements are sustainable

  • Review and implement new processes and systems that will have a positive impact on both the Finance function and the business

  • Act as company secretary for the company including relevant filings with Companies House

Profile

Sound Senior Management/Director experience with a successful track record of leading a finance function

Demonstrable experience of implementing finance strategies to meet short term and long term business needs

Experience of overseeing reporting processes and the provision of data to support activity

Experience of working collaboratively at a senior level across the organisation (in particular operations) to deliver on success

Experience of implementing new ideas and solutions to drive for improved results

Demonstrable commercial awareness that has a significant impact on the business and the finance function

Demonstrable experience of delivering credible presentations, including at board level, and the ability to package sound Financial proposals
