Description

Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Commercial Manager will involve:

  • Providing commercial management to a wide range of support based contracts to various UK and Export customers
  • Working closely with the project teams, business development and the customers to ensure smooth running of the existing contracts and the development of new business opportunities
  • Assisting the bid teams and have the responsibility for providing the commercial strategy on issues such as governance compliance, contract development, pricing strategies and customer negotiation
  • Profile

    The ideal candidate will likely have a finance background and experience/attributes in the following areas:

    • Commercial experience, ideally in both UK and export defence environments
    • Significant experience of Bid development/approval
    • Stakeholder management
    • Team Leadership
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Have a strong customer focus/customer relationship management
    • Able to work to targets and deadlines
    • High levels of verbal and written communication skills
    • The ability to work within a team environment
    • A willingness to get involved in all matters
    • High levels of organisation, personal motivation and drive
    • A desire to learn & contribute
    • Good academic background ideally with strong results in English and Maths
