A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join the Customer Management division of our large FTSE100 organisation.

Role
This role is within the Contract Accounting Team in Dearne Valley reporting to the Contract Accounting Manager, and will act as the main Finance Business partner on a varied portfolio of clients.

This is a key business partnering role for Operations. The individual is responsible for client net profit reporting, analysis of reported performance against expectations and a full understanding of drivers influencing business performance.

Actual Results:
Produce accurate and timely reporting for a small portfolio of CCM clients on a monthly basis. Ensure accurate representation of the client P&Ls, post all required ledger entries, along with reconciliations of accrued and deferred income;
Review reported performance against flexed targets, and ensure that the key drivers of variances are explained;
Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business to influence financial performance and understand contract, price and cost drivers & challenge assumptions where necessary;

Forecast Results:
Produce accurate forecasts of revenue, costs and margin by liaising with & challenging the Sales, Operations and Planning teams;
Review forecast against Business Plan and previous forecast targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained;

Working Capital & billing:
Minimise Working Capital through accurate & timely billing to clients, and ensure query resolution on a timely basis;
Liaise with the client to minimise and resolve queries with billing.

Reporting:
Deliver monthly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to tight deadlines;

Help the Contract Accounting team in streamlining existing processes, and designing new reports and processes where necessary;Part Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Previous experience in accounting role (industry or practice).
Diligent, attention to detail, willing to challenge.
Good excel skills.
Good at communicating at all levels, with finance and non finance teams
Ability manage own workload, and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Systems Used
SAP & Axiom. Excel used extensively, along with Word & Powerpoint. SAP Hands on and enthusiastic individual looking for career development
