Top 10 firm in London are recruiting for a Technical and Training Manager to join their busy but friendly offices in the heart of London. Rewards attached to this position are a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 per year plus benefits

Role overview:

This position is ideally suited to someone in a similar or overlapping role or to an auditor with high professional standards and strong technical skills looking for a change. Relevant training will be given. This role will be centred within the financial services team, so experience within this field is important.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Give credible and robust advice to partners and managers (or any member of the firm) on financial reporting and audit and assurance issues.
  • Write clear and concise bulletins, guidance notes and training materials.
  • Present effectively on short (technical update) and long (practical auditing) courses.
  • Be responsive to the planned and unplanned needs of the rest of the firm.
  • Form good working relationships with partners, managers, seniors and trainees alike.

Personal qualities

The key personal attributes of the applicant will include the following:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial reporting and auditing standards
  • (Preferably) knowledge of (some) specialist area(s), such as pension schemes, charities or solicitor's accounts rules.
  • Qualified accountant with strong academic and exam record.

Key experience requirements

  • Experience of working with some of these roles would be very useful.
  • Experience of working in Financial Services Audit, including larger companies, essential.

Remuneration:

  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Normal hours of work are 35 per week, to be worked from 9.30am to 5.30pm
