Finance Director - Nottingham - £70,000 per annum

Are you a Manufacturing or Engineering Finance director looking to take your next step? The role

As the Finance Director you will work closely with the company CEO, Group CFO and Strategy Director to support a process and period of exciting transformation and continued development. The leadership team are proud of their products and proud of the quality of the work that they produce. This isn't a manufacturing role where you are slicing every possible penny off of the product cost. But you definitely will have a passion around continuous improvement and lean principles.

As part of the strategic leadership team, you will be supported by a robust finance team who are responsible for the delivery of the contributing numbers; however you must be willing to throw yourself into a varied role in a rapidly expanding SME. You'll still enjoy getting your hands dirty, you'll love lifting up the rug and seeing what is going on. Not least you will also have the capcity to balance strategy with robust financial management and financial stewardship and control.

Key experience required

  • Manufacturing/ Engineering sector experience
  • Proven experience of working at the helm of finance ideally within a manufacturing / engineering SME
  • Experience in developing and delivering strategic initiatives, particularly within the finance arena
  • First rate accounting skills with a passion for service and quality
  • Cross border experience and knowledge of international business process including foreign exchange
  • Demonstrable fund raising relationship experience (bank, lawyers, Private equity etc)
  • Experience of working within an organisation who are implementing new systems of work

  • Must be a credible, robust character with an energetic, can do attitude
  • Hands on, results focused, motivated to deliver in advance of deadlines
  • Team orientated, collaborative and able to motivate a team and lead from the front
  • Quality driven and professional with high levels of honesty, probity and integrity
