Stock and Systems Accountant

This retailer is looking for the right employee to provide interpretation and insight for all aspects of regional performance, and work closely with the Regional Director to achieve and exceed regional targets, whilst also supporting the Finance team in providing accurate and timely financial reporting

Act as a consultant that has responsibility for identifying information needs in the business and play a key role in developing systems to provide such information.

Further responsibilities include:

• Assist in the correct accounting of Stock, including; shrinkage, disposals, provisions and valuations
• Assist in advising on the correct accounting for new transactions in the ERP and accounting systems
• Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Ad hoc duties to support the Warehouse and Finance teams in implementing improvements to systems and processes

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Energetic and dynamic candidates required
• Fixer mentality with a "can do" attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of working closely with other departments
