Elevation Accountancy & Finance currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and astute Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join a fast paced and market leading business in Sheffield. The business operates on a national scale and is extremely well established.

Reporting straight to the Financial Controller you will be required to assist in the timely production of Management Accounts and financial reports. This will be an extremely varied and challenging role with duties to include:

* To assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
* To assist in the preparation of the Company Balance Sheet on a monthly basis
* To assist in the preparation of the monthly financial package required by the business
*To assist in the preparation of the Groups annual and revised budgets
* To ensure that all accounting entries are correctly input to the financial ledgers
* To assist in the reconciliation of financial export from the sales order processing system to the accounts package
* To assist in the reconciliation and maintenance of the Balance Sheet controls on a monthly basis including:

Fixed Asset register
Accruals and prepayments
Debtor and Creditor control accounts

* To assist in the performance analysis and evaluation of the monthly management accounts results
* To assist in the preparation of the year end financial accounts
* Providing ad-hoc reports
* To be able to communicate with management at all levels, to ensure that financial performance is effectively explained, controlled and implemented.
* Assist with the implementation of a new financial forecasting package (BOARD)


To be successful for this role the candidate must have the following skills:-

- Financial experience at a similar level within a medium sized operation, with the ability to meet the job requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to take individual responsibility, but also work within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills working with external and internal colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Solid computer knowledge using medium to large company computer packages together with Microsoft Word and Excel
- CIMA or ACCA Part Qualified
