Job Description – Finance Assistant
A Finance Assistant is needed for our busy accounts department with duties equally split between the weekly temp’s payroll and credit control, working closely with 2 other Finance Assistants.
Temps Payroll – Responsibility for part of the weekly temps payroll, liasing with new temporary workers, checking documentation on the system, setting up new starters on payroll, chasing timesheets, processing leavers, and actually processing the weekly payroll process every 3rd week.
Credit Control - Assisting the department with collections by phone, e-mail, and letter taking the process to the first legal stage. Providing monthly statements to our clients. Ensuring e-mailed invoices are sent to the correct person and keeping Purchase Order numbers up to date. Daily cash allocation on our Sage Line 50 accounting package every 3rd week, and reconciling of client accounts.
Other accounts duties will include providing management information to our clients and certain projects at various times in the financial year. This is a good position for somebody to learn a variety of skills across this busy department in a successful recruitment agency.
Office Hours : 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start date 10 October 2016.
Salary : £21,000 to £25,000 pa with benefits after 6 months.

A person with some previous experience in an Accounts Office would be ideal, and some knowledge of payroll and credit control would be desirable. We are particularly looking for a person who is reliable, honest, versatile, accurate, and able to multi-task with excellent communication and customer service skills.
