The SOx team is responsible for managing the delivery of management's quarterly and annual internal attestation on assessment of the internal financial control environment, in accordance with the requirements of the US Sarbanes Oxley Legislation. They do this by working closely with the business to maintain process documentation, challenge process design, advise on best practice controls and perform appropriate testing to ensure that the internal financial controls are operating as designed.

*The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the business is operating appropriate financial and IT controls on a timely basis for a number of key business activities through end to end process reviews and testing the performance of these controls.

*Support the business with new/ emerging system and process changes, including IT developments, by providing SOx subject matter expertise.

*In addition the individual will assist in other Corporate Governance reporting activities

The role will provide an excellent development opportunity for people wishing to gain exposure to the end to end accounting and reporting process within the business (including other parts outside Accounting Services) and build a better understanding of our business.
*Takes responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of audits
*Technical background in risk management and SOx compliance
*Strong understanding of process, risk and control linkages
*Experience with performing walkthroughs, financial audits, or controls testing
*Understanding of IT SOx risks and controls
*Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management
*Advanced report writing/written communication skills
*Proactive, analytical, attention to detail
*Ability to work to deadlines
*Developed computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*Ability to analyse large quantities of data efficiently and effectively
*Approximately 20% travel to other offices and to the Netherlands is required
*Management of external stakeholder relationships
