A highly successful entrepreneur is looking for a Head of Finance to support him in successfully starting, growing and ultimately selling a multi-site business in a market sector that is well placed for more commercial business practise to make a significant impact.

He has a track record of building successful, profitable companies and selling them and he expects to do the same with this new venture.

Description

As Head of Finance you will be the first finance professional in the business and as such responsible, in the short term, for:

• The creation of a central finance function for the new business - closing those in acquired businesses.
• set-up from scratch of management reporting, implementation of controls, processes and IT systems,
• dealing with external partners and due diligence on future acquisitions

In the longer term you would be expected to lead the business through a sale process, likely to private equity.

Profile

Given the start-up nature of this opportunity it is reserved only for those with experience of working in hands-on SME environments, ideally in an owner managed business where there can at times be high demands put on you.

You will be a (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) qualified accountant and either be an experienced number 1 and be able to demonstrate a track record of helping grow a business and likely having taken it through a transaction, or perhaps an exceptionally capable number 2 who is looking to make that first step to a number 1 position and can show a similar background.

If you have experience in a multi-site business this would be seen as a particular advantage.

Job Offer

£70-90k plus possible equity in the longer term
