Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

We are looking for an experienced qualified accountant to provide a high quality financial business partnering service to the Fundraising Directorate currently generating £64m in income.  You will be based within the Fundraising department and report to the Head of Finance but with a dotted line to the Director of Fundraising.

You will work closely with the Director of Fundraising and their management team to support the development and implementation of the financial strategy and promote high quality business decision making. With the support of the Fundraising Management Accountant, this includes responsibility for implementing the financial planning and budgeting framework in Fundraising, production of directorate management accounts, producing and interpreting investment portfolio and cost benefit analyses to support decision making and providing advice and coaching for budget holders in their everyday financial management.

Strong communication, project management and IT skills including reporting packages and Excel, are essential. Confidence and drive will be highly desirable as will a solid knowledge of restricted funds management. Previous experience within Fundraising is desirable.
