Would you like to be part of something different and work on a new capability for the Typhoon project? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Accountant at our site in Warton.
As a Project Accountant, you will be delivering all internal and external reporting requirements as required and supporting the business as appropriate in ensuring all budget targets are achieved.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and gain commercial experience on the Typhoon project.
Your main responsibilities as a Project Accountant will involve:
Preparing and challenging of all phases of IBP including assumptions, risks and opportunities and bridging to previous IBP phases
Preparing monthly forecasts including assumptions, risks and opportunities and explanation of forecast movements
Ensuring all financial procedures and controls are applied as required
Cash forecasting - engaging cross functionally to drive process improvements and forecast accuracy
Producing monthly balance sheet and comments, taking actions where appropriate
Supporting the business in producing robust quarterly CSRs and Sales and Margin Trading Plans
Reviewing and posting of monthly sales and margin journals
Ensuring all bids are subject to the appropriate financial challenge and in line with procedure
Attending Risk & Opportunity Reviews providing challenge to ensure reliability of delivery area information and assess the impact to the CSR
Your skills and qualifications as a Project Accountant:
Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or relevant equivalent
Demonstrable experience of working in the capacity of a finance business partner
Experience gained as a Project Accountant in manufacturing or service based industry
Experience of project accounting support, advice to allocated delivery team areas and CAMs
Ownership skills, working and thinking outside the box
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Previous experience of using BAAN or LN would be desirable
