We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our friendly, professional Finance team. This is a pivotal role in which you will manage a small team who are responsible for a broad range of accountancy accountabilities related to metal. This is a unique opportunity in which you will ensure all client related metal reconciliations, forward purchases and metal accounts are prepared in an accurate and timely way. This is a great opportunity to be a member of a core team that helps enhance value for our customers and Johnson Matthey, and delivers manufacturing excellence.
 

Key responsibilities:     

- Provide accounting support to the Finance Manager and ensure all financial reporting deadlines and associated requirements covering general ledger sector for the ECT Royston Finance teams are met.

-Development and management of a small finance team.

-Manage your team to ensure that the daily purchases of Metal and all metal transfers and reconciliations take place on time and accurately. 

Are you the ideal candidate? You will have:

-Worked within a similar accountancy role. Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.

-An analytical approach with a keen eye for detail along with investigative skills and abilities.

-Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong cross departmental relationships to create and embed a business partnership process.

-IT literate with an advanced knowledge of Excel a knowledge of JD Edwards or SAP.

-ACCA or CIMA qualified/part qualified would be advantageous.
