Due to succession planning they are now recruiting an Interim Operations Director whilst recruiting for the permanent post. This is a key position within the SLT to make a difference. Placing a strategic focus on both finance and business development, to further raise the profile of the school, you will contribute to making a significant difference to the growth and development of the school.
Key responsibilities include the management of the finance team, ensuring that all day to day transactions, including payroll, monthly management accounting, cashflow and treasury is controlled and regularly reviewed. Preparation of annual statements for external audit review, preparation of forecast for monthly budget review and regular liaison with the EFA, Dfe and external bodies. You will manage all aspects of non finance areas such as Facilities, IT, Health & Safety with particular focus in developing strengthening links with the business community, producing an overview of the school marketing plan and providing continued support to other members of the SLT.
The successful candidate will possess a track record in working at a senior level within Education. Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant who has experience of strategic planning and implementation, and has overseen the support function within a school successfully. You must be immediateky available, "hands on" and effective in managing any issues from the challenging to the mundane.
