Would you like to work within the F35 Production, which is currently transitioning through a period of rate readiness, in preparation for the growth to full rate manufacture on the F35 programme? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our site in Samlesbury.
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of an annual cost base currently of £80m with 1,200 people and a capital portfolio of £10m.
This role will involve working within the F35 finance team, with responsibility for four direct reports.
Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will involve:
Providing day to day financial support to the Production Operations Senior Management Team, who cover F35 and shared service manufacturing
Producing a quality Integrated Business Plan for the Production Operations area of the F-35 programme within Military Air & Information
Ensuring robust budgeting and forecasting processes and procedures are maintained to allow for accurate financial forecasting of cost base and capital plans
Securing timely and appropriate input into the Capital Process, the provision of support to Capital Review Boards and financial input into capital business cases
Developing the financial awareness of the F-35 Production team members
Ensuring that the finance team comprises of appropriately qualified and experienced staff with the right capabilities and to lead their training and development
Arranging data cleanse and data migration activities are planned, supported and discharged as required to facilitate the on-going transition projects
Acting as a financial conscience for F-35 Production and shared service manufacturing
Your skills and qualifications:
Professionally qualified accountant with 5+ years accounting experience
Knowledge of the Military Air & Information financial policies, procedures and systems
Knowledge of the planning and organising of Military Air & Information’ diverse Business Functions
Be a creative thinker to ensure that the needs of the programme are met, and the financial impact of the Production team's actions are understood by the Production Management team

A team leader with skills in managing a small, but varied team, ensuring their maximum potential is achieved. The ability to be champion change, to lead your team through the on-going transition projects.
Salary: £40,000 +
