A Top 10 international accountancy firm that pride themselves on their client service are currently looking to expand their accounting and business services offering across the North West. Due to this expansion the firm are seeking a qualified accountant to join their team as a Portfolio Manager. This is a great opportunity to work in modern open plan offices in Manchester City Centre, specifically working in a team that are experiencing exponential growth.

Your new job
As a portfolio manager you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients for which you will be responsible for overseeing the production of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, FRS 102 and other accounting frameworks. Preparation cashflows and the consolidation for year end statutory accounts is a further duty.You will oversee a team of accounts seniors and be responsible for allocating the workload and reviewing the financial statements. This is a client facing role and therefore you will be responsible for maintaining excellent client relationships answering any client queries and ensuring the assignments are delivered on time and to budget.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint a qualified accountant who has developed a strong technical skill set and is competent in preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102 knowledge would also be preferable). As this is a client facing role you must be able to demonstrate strong communications skills and be able to liaise with clients effectively. The partners will consider either a strong senior who has developed some supervisory skills or an experienced portfolio / assistant manager who is keen to secure a new role that can offer excellent career progression. Audit trained ACA / ACCA individuals will also be considered.
