Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant (1 year fixed term contract) for a growing and respected company with offices in Reigate, Surrey. You will ideally be a qualified accountant with experience of setting up nominal accounts and completing systems testing. You will have systems configuration and database development experience too.
Duties include:
*User and systems administration of, and day to day problem solving and technical query resolution with regards to, Finance systems (i.e. Ledger, reporting, reconciliation, banking and investment systems).
*Maintenance and update of all documentation relating to finance systems.
*System / process design, testing and implementation insofar as they impact finance systems ensuring that controls and impact on the general ledger are considered at all times.
*Excellent customer service skills in ensuring that all management and team members of Finance are involved and kept up to date with changes as appropriate.
*Close working and co-operation with the relevant areas in IT to ensure that systems development takes place within IT's working protocols and risk appetites.
*Provide training, guidance and support to non-IT members of the team in order to minimise operational risks and improve efficiencies.
*Ensure that the chart of accounts reflects business needs and work to ensure that risks are correctly identified and resolved where appropriate.
*Review of department-wide EUC and access controls to ensure adhered to in a consistent and timely manner.
*Ad hoc projects and other work as directed by the Finance Systems Manager.
