Description
The Corporate Simplification Executive will work with associate directors and managers to plan, implement and administer corporate eliminations and solvent restructuring procedures, including solvent Members' Voluntary Liquidations ('MVLs'), strike offs and capital reductions. Work runs from the pre-elimination review stage of work, through to the preparation of relevant documentation and in the case of MVLs, the liquidator's appointment, subsequently realising assets, paying liabilities, distributing surplus assets and closing cases in a timely and cost effective manner, with minimal supervision on a day to day basis. The Executive will develop a good working knowledge of all aspects of their cases and have a sound knowledge of basic company administration and insolvency issues. When progressing their cases, they should ensure that all relevant legislation is complied with. The Executive will spend 100% of their time in this role and will not be involved in other types of insolvency appointments
Profile
Excellent IT, communication and numeracy skills, preferably from an audit or accounting background, or have at least two years' experience of corporate insolvency cases. It is not essential that they have experience of MVLs specifically. The role is primarily office based but occasional travel will be required
