An Indirect Tax Manager is sought by this well known employer based in Luton.
As Indirect Tax Manager you will be responsible for managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax returns (e.g. PAYE settlement agreement, EC sales list) in accordance with fiscal and regulatory requirements.
You will support the Financial Controller to manage the cost and complexity of compliance with legal, statutory, regulatory and group policies and procedures and also manage the excise duty compliance. You will also work with Group tax to ensure compliance with group tax accounting and reporting requirements and act as the point of contact both internally and externally for all day to day indirect tax queries.
You will also maintain the financial ledgers which support the indirect tax areas, overseeing the work of other accountants, ensuring that key controls operate effectively and work with commercial stakeholders to provide robust forecasts of working capital balances.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with previous experience in indirect tax, strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
