Senior Financial Accountant

This prestigious aviation/engineering company is looking for a finance manager to take responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting under IFRS.

The role would report into the Financial Controller and be responsible for:

• All month end accounting and reporting for 2 SPVs (IFRS).
• Statutory accounts preparation
• Project milestone tracking, reporting, and forecasting
• Lease Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Intercompany invoicing and recharges
• Management accounts, reporting and variance analysis
• Tax and VAT accounting
• Statutory accounts and audit engagements
• Compliance with internal controls
• SPV Forecasting and Budgeting
• Debt management – Drawdowns and utilisations
• Hedge/Derivative accounting for Currency and interest rate swaps
• Tracking Milestones and impact on Financials
• FX and Interest Rate Swap Hedge Accounting for 300+ hedged items

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills, to confidently manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Strong team player
• ACA/ACCA Qualification
• Experience of statutory account preparation to IFRS
• Hedge/Lease accounting experience desirable
