Our client is a well known employer in Hull with a reputation for innovation. A vacancy has arisen for a Management Accountant to join their friendly finance team in modern offices with good access to both public transport and road links.

THE ROLE

-Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will take responsibility for:
-Management and maintenance of the general ledger for cost centres
-Prepare and post general ledger journals and overheads, accruals and prepayments
-Month end procedures, review P % L and balance sheet accounts
-Reporting for internal use, routine analysis and provide input for statutory reporting and tax packs as necessary


THE CANDIDATE

-The successful candidate will preferably be a CIMA/ACCA/ACA finalist, passed finalist or newly qualified accountant with demonstrable experience of management accounting
-A competent Excel user and with a high standard of systems literacy generally, you will enjoy working in a team playing environment with a group of like minded colleagues
-You will need good previous experience of general ledger accounting under IFRS and UK GAAP and understand how the general ledger closing process fits into the overall service delivery
-Candidates need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbally
